Telephone ringing.
"Thank you for calling United Airlines. This is Isabella. How may I help you?" The reservationist said.
"Hello. I would like to make a reservation for a round trip to Harmony, Maine." Resa replied.
"When is your date of arrival?" Isabella asked.
"In two days." Resa replied.
"When are you planning to come back?" Isabella asked.
"In two weeks of the date of the arrival." Resa replied.
"How many adults? Any children?" Isabella asked.
"One adult, no children." Resa replied.
"Okay, hold for one moment please." Isabella stated putting her on hold.
"Thank you." Resa stated. There was a long pause. "I have to tell Sergio that I am going on a vacation to visit family in the states." She thought while she still packing.
"Thank you for holding." Isabella stated. Resa quickly brought her attention to Isabella. "We have found a seat for you in the first class section and the price is $1500 for a round trip.
"Yes. I would like to." Resa replied.
"Would it be Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover?" Isabella asked.
"It would be Visa. Thank you." Resa replied.
After she had made reservations for tickets, she finished packing. She decided to get a glass of water and then go to bed. It was getting late. I will talk to Sergio and the rest of the staff tomorrow morning. She thought to herself.
The next morning, Resa had gotten up to get ready for work. She ate her breakfast and gulped down her coffee and left for work. After an hour later, she arrived at work.
"Good morning, everyone." Resa said gleefully. She was in a very happy mood and did not want anyone or anything to ruin her day. For some reason, she felt good. She was taking a vacation in two days.
"Hi Resa. You sound like you're in a good mood. Just yesterday, you did not have a good day. What's change in mood today?" Sergio asked with his accent.
"Hello, Sergio. The reason I am in a good mood is because I have decided to go on a vacation to see my family in two days." She stated with smile.
"Oh, so soon? Wow! Why all of the sudden? He asked. "I shouldn't have pried. I'm sorry."
"It's okay Sergio. I have been thinking about my family back home and I miss them. I want to give them a surprised visit that's all. Also I will like to visit my friend that I met in college, Austin. You remember him, do you?" Resa replied.
"Oh, yes. I remember Austin. And I do agree that you should see your family." He stated.
"Well, after work, we should go shopping, so I can pick out some souvenirs for my family. They have always wanted to visit Italy." Resa stated.
"I'll take a rain check on that. I have a date tonight with this beautiful woman. I met her last night at a bar during happy hour." Sergio said.
"Oh really. Well, Sergio, you have always been a ladies man. What can I say?" Resa sighed. Sergio blushed. "Okay, I will go by myself then. Good luck. I will be in my office"
Resa and Sergio had started to work on the designs.
Later that day, Resa went out to lunch for two hours. She had lunch with Sergio at a café. The meal was delicious.
Back in Harmony
Ethan sat in his office of Crane Industries. He was looking at paper work. He could not concentrate, however. He was thinking about Theresa. He couldn't believe that she left harmony ten years ago. He wondered where she was at times and what she was doing. He wondered about how she was doing. Is she happy? Did she pursue her fashion career? Has she found another man? Does she have kids? He thought to himself. He did not know why he always thought about Theresa. He was a married man. He loved Gwen not Theresa. Well that's what he thought. Then one day he found Gwen with another man the day after their honeymoon. It was Chuck for all people. She had to sleep with him. She explains to him that on the first business trip she had met Chuck Wilson again. She asked him what's up with him and Theresa. Chuck explains the whole story to her. Gwen was furious with Theresa and Ethan at first then decided to have dinner with Chuck. Then one lead to another. End of Story. He didn't want to hear it anymore. He told her to leave and he will have the papers in the morning to sign. He was depressed for awhile that he lost Gwen to another man. He felt betrayed- at least he thought he was betrayed. All the time and money spent on that wedding. He really regretted to have married Gwen. Last but not least, he regretted that he hurt Theresa so much. Damn! If I haven't hurt Theresa, she wouldn't have left. If I wasn't an idiot. Somebody should have slapped some sense into me. How could I be a fool like Theresa had told me. I love Theresa. I wish she were here. He thought to himself. Chills went down his back thinking that Theresa had found another man and was happy or even had children. Yet alone, him finding Gwen sleeping with another man. He hopes that Theresa hasn't found anyone yet. He was becoming more depressed, confused, and angry at the same time just thinking about it.
Recap: Resa had came home from work and had a bad day. She began to think about Ethan then her friend Austin. Then she thought about her mother and Whitney. She gave Austin a call. They were excited to talk to each other. Then Austin brought up her past with Ethan. Resa was not excited about it all. Austin gave her advice to take vacation, go back to harmony, and face her family and Ethan.
Setting: Resa is still at her apartment in Milan, Italy. She is calling the airline to buy a ticket to Harmony and started to pack her clothes. She is now in her bedroom.
Would you like to purchase it?"
