Title of Story: "Denying Your Feelings: Too Late to Change Ch. 4"

Ding-Dong. She waited there nervously.
Ding-Dong. She heard a child come to the door. "Who is it?" the little girl cried.
"It's me your Aunt Theresa." Resa replied assuming that was their daughter.
"Aunt Theresa!" She exclaimed. "Mommy!" the little girl yelled.
"What honey?" the woman asked as she coming closer to the door.
"It's some lady by the name of Aunt Theresa." The little girl replied to her mom.
Resa was just standing there listening to what they were saying and thought the little girl was so cute.
"Aunt Theresa! Meaning Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald?" The woman cried out loud.
"Mommy, who is that?" The little girl asked curiously.
"Oh sorry honey. It's your Aunt Theresa. Your father's sister." The woman replied.
Resa was laughing hysterically thinking that conversation the woman and the little had was adorable and hilarious at the same time. She tried to keep her composure but couldn't help it. Just then, the woman had open the door and looked at Theresa in shock. It was Sheridan.
"Theresa!" Sheridan squealed. "I can't believe it's you! I have missed you so much!" she cried giving a hug to Resa. Resa just accepted the hug and had a big smile. She was longing for this family hug.
"Luis!" Sheridan yelled. "Come over here! You are in for a big surprise! Well, I am actually surprised myself!" She cried. Sheridan was so happy to see Resa.
Luis walked through the living room to the foyer. Luis recognized some woman as he came closer. Then he saw Theresa, his little sister that he missed so much. He was very surprised but happy to see her. As soon as he saw her, he came running over to Resa and gave her a big hug. Luis was almost into tears. He was so choked up when he saw her. He was waiting for ten years to see Theresa again. He has missed her so much. It tore him up inside to not see his sister ever again. Sheridan saw Luis getting choked up at the sight of hugging Resa and started to tear up as well.
"Luis, don't do that. Now you are going to make me cry!" Sheridan said wiping her tears.
"What am I doing that's making you cry, honey?" Luis asked as he let go of Theresa.
All Resa could do smile at the both of them. She was happy that they happy to see her. They looked so cute together and so in love. She thought the little girl was so adorable. At times, she wished she could have the same thing that they both have, a beautiful marriage and children.
"Theresa, I am so glad to see you. I have missed you so much. I am glad that you came." Luis said nervously with tears welling up.
Theresa looked at him and was about to cry too. She couldn't help it. It was a touchy moment like most reunions are. She thought it was cute that Luis had a softer side of him.
"Sheridan is right, Luis. You are making both of us cry!" She said agreeing with Sheridan. "Who is this cute little girl?" She asked looking at the little girl.
"I am so sorry." They both said in unison. "Well, we must have gotten caught up in seeing you, we forgot to introduce to you Chloe, our little girl." Sheridan said. Luis was standing there smiling, looking at Theresa with disbelief. He was still recovering from the shock she gave him.
"Theresa, why don't you come in and tell us about your life in Milan, Italy." Luis said inviting her in. "Would you like something to drink?" He asked.
"Yes Luis. I would like some ice water, please. Thank you." Resa replied. "By the way, you can call me Resa for short."
Luis gave Resa her glass of water while Sheridan and her was catching up.
"So where are you staying in Harmony, Resa?" Sheridan asked.
" I am staying at mama's house." Resa replied. Chloe came up to Resa and sat beside of her.
"Aunt Theresa! You are very pretty." Chloe commented in her adorable little voice. Resa blushed.
"Thank you sweetie." Resa replied in a little voice. Chloe just smiled at her. Sheridan and Resa began to giggle.
"I am so proud of you, Resa! I am also so happy for you, too. You are successful, independent women. Can Luis and I see you in Milan some time?" Sheridan asked.
"Yes you can. In fact, I am planning on paying for the family's plane tickets and tickets for an upcoming fashion show I am participating in. I think you guys will enjoy it. It is a type of fashion show that celebrities come to see. I am up along with the big time designers such as Chanel, Gucci, Armani, Versace, Dolce Gabana, and so on." She replied.
"Really? Wow! That is exciting!" Sheridan said with disbelief. "I guess you climbing up the ladder with success.
"I hope so. This is my stepping stone towards my dream." Resa replied.
"What dream could that be?" Sheridan asked. Both of them are taking a sip from their glass.
"My dream is to be famous worldwide in the fashion industry like the other big designers." She replied with a dreamy look.
"I have confidence that you will be reaching your goals." Sheridan said with confidence.
"I agree, Resa, you are a talented designer and we all know it." Luis stated coming out of the kitchen.
"You really thinks so?" Resa asked excitedly. They nodded in unison. "Thanks guys. Thank you for that encouragement." She said warmly.
"Your welcome." They said in unison.
At the Crane Mansion
Ethan was in his study, working on a legal case. That's all he could do, work. He has to do it to keep himself busy or else, he will be angry and depressed again. He was living on an emotional roller coaster ever since he realized he loved Theresa. Pilar knocks on the door.
Knock knock. "May I come in?" Pilar asked.
"Yes you may, Pilar." He replied concentrating on the case.
"I brought you some lunch. You need your strength." She said as she was coming in the study. She had put the tray down.
"Thanks Pilar. You were always like a second mother to me. You always know how to make someone smile" He complimented her smiling. Pilar blushed.
"Thanks Ethan. I never knew you have thought about me that way. I'll take that as a compliment" She replied smiling at him. "Well, I'll let you get back to work, Ethan."
With that Pilar left. For the first time this morning, he was smiling. Pilar always made his day. She was always there for him. He thought. With that, Ethan stopped working and decided to take a walk for some air.
At Luis and Sheridan's home
Sheridan was getting ready for lunch. Luis was setting the table and little Chloe helped. Resa was walking around the adjoining living room and dining room, admiring the place. The inside of the house looked lived in. It had a sofa, a chair, and a loveseat with big fluffy pillows. Along with that, it had a coffee table and two end tables with lamps on it. The house was clean and organized. It had a nice scent. It looked and felt cozy. She looked at the windows. It had simple draperies with lavender and navy blue designs. Then she looked at the entertainment center. It had pictures of them mounted. Wow! Sheridan has very nice taste! This house is so adorable. It is full of love and life! She thought. That is very much like Sheridan. If Luis designed this home, I will be very surprised. It's not like him. He would use muted shades unless he has changed his style. She thought.
"Wow! I'm starved!" They all said in unison. They looked at each other and started laughing at what just happened.
"Sheridan and Luis, your house is adorable! Who designed it?" Resa complimented as she gained her composure.
"Why thank you Resa. Coming from a big time designer like yourself, we are honored." Luis complimented. Resa blushed. Sheridan just laughed at Luis's statement. "We both designed it." He replied. Resa looked at Luis at bewilderment. "Resa, don't look surprised. Sheridan made me help her." Luis teased.
"Well, I thought this was all Sheridan's idea. It's hard for me to believe you were into designing anything. I never thought you could be creative." Resa explained. Sheridan was chuckling.
"Thanks for the encouragement." Luis said sarcastically. Resa smiled and looked at Sheridan giggling. Resa started to giggle. It was contagious. Then Luis heard them both giggling.
"What's so funny? What are you two laughing at?" Luis asked getting defensive.
The giggles turned into laughter. They couldn't help it. They thought it was cute how Luis was getting defensive.
"Keep your guard down, Luis. You don't have to be defensive. We are just laughing because it's hard to think strong and macho Luis is creative." Sheridan teased. Luis blushed. "You know I love you, Luis." She said while giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Awww, that is so cute. I wish I had found love like you both did. You look so happy together. I'm glad you two are together for good." Resa commented. Luis and Sheridan looked at each other and blushed at Resa's comments.
"Resa, are you dating anyone?" Sheridan asked with curiosity.
"No, I have been too busy to date anyone lately and most men won't approach me because they are intimidated by my success." Resa replied sadly. "Most of them have known me and know what I do."
"I know how that is. Before, Luis and I got together, I had the same problem since I was a Crane." Sheridan stated with concern. Resa thought about Ethan again as Sheridan brought up the last name Crane. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't too."
"It's okay Sheridan. I'm fine. Let's just have this meal. It looks delicious!" She replied.
"Thank you." Sheridan said politely.
They were eating their lunch in silence. Since Sheridan brought up Crane, the tension rosed. Sheridan had regretted for bringing it up. Luis gave Sheridan a it's-ok signal. After they had finished their lunch, Resa decided to stay for a little and then go back home to see mama. She was getting tired from her trip.
"Mama!" Resa called out. Pilar did a full 360 turn to see who called her.
"Theresita!" Pilar cried going to her daughter she hasn't seen in years.
"I miss you so much, Mama. There is so much I have to tell you!" She cried giving her mom a hug.
"It's good to see you, mi hija! What a wonderful surprise!" She squealed. She felt her eyes start to well up. She was so happy. "I miss you, too!" Pilar said crying.
"Mama, why are you crying!" Resa asked feeling herself getting choked up.
"Theresita, I am crying because I am so happy to see you! These are tears of joy! I love you so much!" Pilar said wiping her tears. Resa started to cry because her mom cried. She was so touched.
"Mi hija. Now you are starting to cry." Pilar commented while giving her daughter a hug to comfort her.
"It just_ it's just_ touched my heart_ that's all." Resa said between sniffles. She tried to regain her composure. "I love you too, mama." With that Pilar hugged her daughter tighter.
Recap: Resa has just arrived in Harmony. Her and Miguel had a deep conversation about there life. Resa was on her way to see Luis and Sheridan.
Setting: This takes place at Luis and Sheridan's home. Resa has just got of her car and walked up to the front door, hoping Ethan wasn't there.
"You are tearing up and that's so cute. Aaaawww!" Sheridan said teasing him. Luis blushed.
"Everybody, lunch is ready." Sheridan announced as came out of the kitchen. Luis, Chloe, and Resa came to the dining room table.
Resa had told Sheridan, Luis, and Chloe that she would see them tomorrow. She gave them hugs and kisses and left. Little while after, Resa had came home, but no one was home. She decided to go upstairs and unpack. While she unpacking, she heard someone at the door. She wondered who could it be. She went into the living room and saw her mama putting her coat away.
