"First, I want to give thanks to God. Thanks to my mom and dad, who have always been my guiding light and inspiration. Since the day I was born, they have been there for me through thick and thin and supported me. Whatever dream I had, they made sure I had everything I needed to make it come true. Thanks to my sister, Michelle, and here husband, Tony, my brother, Michael, and his wife, Suzanne, who, as well, have supported me and believed in me. I also thank my grandma, Mimi, who always knew that one day I would be on a soap, and my Aunt Marcia and Uncle Roger. To the fans, without them, I wouldn't be here. They're all little angels in my heart and always will be. I want to thank [Head Writer/Creator] James Reilly for creating this character and making her such a strong, heroic female. And [Executive Producer] Lisa Hesser, [Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs for NBC Entertainment] Sheraton Kalouria, all the producers and the cast and crew. It's been so amazing to work with this group. They've all become family to me."

"It's very difficult to express in words how much receiving this award means to me; it's more of an emotion for me. When I won it the first time, I thought it was beginner's luck, or the voters thought I was cute. This one is like gold. It means more than the first award 'cause it's saying that the people appreciate what I do. Before it was, 'They like me!' Now it's, 'They still like me!' Knowing I made just one person smile, my job is done. I'm doing something that I enjoy, and people get a kick out of it. And that they take the time to watch me and care about me and vote for me means so much. The support and devotion I've gotten from the fans is unbelievable. I feel so humbled by it. I'm touched. I want the fans to know that I work as hard as I can and that they are what keeps me going. And Soap Opera Digest, if it weren't for you, there would be no award. There would be no place for the viewers to go to get information. I really am thankful to you guys. And also the cast and crew. It's not a one-man show. They all give time and devotion, and I appreciate that."

"Scene stealer ... moi? [Laughs.] I am reminded of the time Ruth Gordon won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Rosemary's Baby at the age of 72, and she looked at the award and said, 'My, this is encouraging.' I am so grateful to the readers and editors of Soap Opera Digest for this great honor. However, nobody 'steals' a scene from enormous talents like Juliet Mills [Tabitha] and Josh Ryan Evans [Timmy] -- NOBODY! That having been said, don't think for a moment that I am declining this award. I was 'dressed to kill' in costumes by Jane Janiger, makeup by Toby Lamm and bewitching wigs by Linle White. I have never had so much fun at work, so I want to thank Executive Producer Lisa Hesser, her production team; the fabulous directors, writers, cast and crew; [publicist] Eva Demirjian; [casting director] Jackie Briskey; everyone who made me feel so welcome in the brilliant and innovative world of James E. Reilly's PASSIONS. Oh, dear, I hear the music playing ... I have to go! Thank you all so very much."
