ET Report (A soap star's dark secret it tonight's ET cover story. "She had a baby with her boyfriend when she was only 16. Now why she didn't tell her co-stars or even her own family." "Her family turned against her when she revealed her pregnancy, now how a soap star ended up on the street with her new born child.")
Reporter: It is a plotline that actually wouldn't be out of place on her soap opera Passions. Now Brook Kerr talks about her teen pregnancy, her secret marriage, and what it was like to live out of her car. It's our entertainment tonight cover story.
Brook: We never got a chance to think about what we wanted because we were too busy worrying about other people and thinking about what we should do, or what's the right thing to do?
Reporter: Today at 26 Brook Kerr is still emotional when she talks about her difficult and painful past. One that included becoming pregnant at the age of 15 with her boyfriend Christopher Warren.
Brook: It was definitely a shock and uh, we were so young, we didn't know how to handle it.
Reporter: So the teen couple hid the pregnancy, told no one, and agonized over what to do.
Christopher: We tried everything we were so scared. We even thought of doing stupid things like trying to get rid of the pregnancy and she would even like starve herself.
Reporter: Finally they decided that adoption would be the best course. Forging some fake ID's so they could be married and admitted into a hospital without parental consent, Brook gave birth to Chris Jr.
Christopher: We looked at each other, we didn't even speak and we saw it in each other's eyes, 'We were like we can't do this. We have to keep this. Like we don't have a choice.' You know?
Reporter: Both their families tried to keep the young lovers apart with Christopher's mom taking Charge of the baby. Intent on being together though they took Chris Jr. and fled with $19 to their name.
Brook: No car.
Christopher: No car, we didn't have a car.
Brook: Just walking down the street.
Christopher: Yeah it was just raining and what was so funny is it was so cold and we were just holding the baby real tight and we were hugging each other and I remember we were both crying, but it's like when you think about it now. Your like 'Oh that's horrible,' but I remember we were just so freaking happy. I remember we were crying and we were looking at each other and just smiling it was like "Oh, God we're free!'
Brook (crying): So at that moment I think it kind of clicked with both of us that we could, you know? Make our own way or anything. That's why we were so happy at that time you know? and (Brook crying) that was the only thing that really mattered, you know?
Reporter: They struggled at times even living in the car they eventually bought. In time they left their Indianapolis home for Hollywood in the hopes of finding some acting work. Brook got her big break on "Passions" playing a teenager, but didn't tell her co-star's her real age or about her son.
Brook: I never really had any friends to like talk to or anything, so not really talking about my personal life was not really that different from what I would do anyway.
Reporter: Today with no secrets Brook says she doesn't recommend being a teenage mom to anyone, but she says she is proof positive that it's not an insurmountable obstacle.
Brook: Having a baby young is not the end of life or the end of the world. You can still accomplish anything.
Reporter: Great story with a happy ending too. Son Chris Jr., he is also acting he can be seen in this summer's "Men Of Honor" playing Cuba Gooding Jr. as a boy.
