It was certainly not a normal day at work for many of the stars of Passions on Monday, January 17th. On this day, Lena Cardwell, Galen Gering, Liza Huber, Dalton James, Brook Kerr, Lindsay Korman, Jesse Metcalfe, Taylor Anne Mountz, Tracey Ross, Travis Schuldt, Molly Stanton, Donn Swaby, McKenzie Westmore, and Bruce Michael Hall were not at the CBS Studio Center where the show usually tapes, but at Iceoplex Ice Rink, in North Hills, California! The hot stars of Passions took to the ice to practice for an upcoming sequence in which many of Harmony’s residents wind up at the town’s ice skating pond. In episodes to air Friday, February 11—Wednesday, February 16 the folks of Harmony find love and danger at the ice pond….but first, the actors involved had to learn how to skate!

The actors all came to the rink with different levels of experience, but all were ready and willing to give it their all and have a good time! Brook confessed that she had only been on skates once in her life, admitting that “I went to a party when I was nine, got out on the ice, fell on my butt, got right off, and haven’t tried again since then.” By the end of the day, though, Brook was definitely feeling more confident about the upcoming shoot. Liza was unanimously voted the best skater, probably because she had a lot of experience as a child. At a young age, Liza wanted to be a competitive figure skater so she had lots of practice. Out on the ice, she was impressing everyone with her graceful moves. Galen admitted that he hadn’t been skating in years, but once he was on the ice he felt totally comfortable. Even Bruce commented that, “Galen’s good. He’s doing spins and stuff.” So, who had the distinct honor of being the first one to fall? Travis Schuldt! But not to worry, he showed much improvement after that first fall…
