Tonight we are talking with the stars of NBC's hot new daytime drama, Passions. Jesse Metcalfe portrays the handsome, easy-going Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald. Jesse won the part of Miguel when he attended an open audition in New York City. He is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. Molly Stanton makes her television debut on Passions in the role of the sheltered, innocent Charity Standish. Molly is a student at the University of California, Berkeley.

NBC Passions: Jesse is still filming on the set and will be joining us in about 10 minutes.
Welcome Molly!

Molly: Hi everybody, I'm so excited to talk to you guys!


bettyjane4: What's your favorite thing about being on Passions?

Molly: I love all the people that I work with, and the atmosphere is very fun and relaxing.


stacyp: How did you get your role on Passions?

Molly: While I was in school at Berkeley, I decided that I would go on a few auditions for fun, because I enjoyed acting. This was the first scripted audition that I had, and I just got it.


chatterer6: Have you been recognized in public by strangers yet? Was it a weird feeling?

Molly: I have been recognized a couple of times. I just laugh and smile, and can't believe that anybody even acknowledges me.


Wilddogwolf: What's it like to work with the cast of Passions?

Molly: It's wonderful. All of the people are very easygoing, and have great senses of humor. If somebody messes up, you just laugh and go on.


iloveMolly: Molly, I heard you wrote and directed a play that went on tour in Scotland. What was it like there?

Molly: It was one of the most beautiful places that I've ever seen. It was a huge theater festival with acts ranging from comedy, to dance, to Shakespeare. I was just honored to be a part of it.


passionsfan: What do you want to see happen with Miguel and Charity in the future?

Molly: Well, I hope that we end up together. Jesse is just such a great guy, and Miguel is such a great character, but you never know.


sammy: What have been your favorite scenes so far?

Molly: Hmmmm... My favorite scene is Kay's fantasy in the hospital room where I wake up and throw her to the ground.


bubbles73: Molly, how do you find time to balance your school work with your acting? Or did you take a break from college for now?

Molly: I did actually take a break from college. For the moment, I am just taking a photography class at UCLA on the weekend.


luvzpassions: What do you think of the supernatural elements in the show?

Molly: I think they are pretty crazy. I don't know what's going to happen to me, or what things are going to start flying around next, but it's pretty fun to do those scenes.


Chris: Do you all think Miguel and Charity have a future together?

Molly: I hope so.


gummi_bearz: Do you ever watch the show yourself?

Molly: I do. Sometimes I watch the tape when I get home from work, but if I think that I did a poor job that day then I usually just turn it off.


Wilddogwolf: What TV shows do you like to watch??

Molly: I love Friends. And Felicity. And MTV's "The Real World".


Wilddogwolf: Who is your favorite actor and actress??

Molly: My favorite actor is Nicolas Cage. My favorite actress is Winona Ryder.


foo009: Do you ever just start to laugh when doing a scene and just can't stop?

Molly: Yeah, that happens a little too frequently. But after a while, you just have to pull it together, before somebody gets mad.


athena316: Can you tell us any secrets about upcoming shows?

Molly: I can't possibly tell secrets, because then you wouldn't want to watch. :-)


JWelch7208: What will happen to Faith? Please say she is not dead...:(

Molly: Well, I hope not, because she's my dear mother, but you'll have to keep watching to find out.


kittycat255: Are there going to be any new characters coming to the show?

Molly: Keep watching and checking the website, www.nbc.com/passions, to find out. It's very possible.


NBC Passions: Jesse Metcalfe has just arrived!


KayBennet: Who, besides your own, is your favorite character?

Jesse: Tabitha.
Molly: Mine too.
Jesse: Because she's awesome!


luvsmiguel: Jesse, what is it like living in California as opposed to New York? Was the move a big culture shock?

Jesse: No, it wasn't that bad, but I really miss New York.


sheeza: Are either of you anything like your characters?

Molly: I guess I like to think I'm sweet like my character is. Jesse says I'm pretty nice.
Jesse: Yes, she is. I would say I'm loyal, like my character.
Molly: Yeah he is.
Jesse: But I'm not quite that nice.
Molly: Yeah, he is.
Jesse: Thanks! (laughing)


kay-leeann: Hello Jesse! I watch every day - I was wondering what it was like saving Charity from the fire?

Jesse: It was really great.


ellie_b: Jesse and Molly, I want to say what great chemistry you two have on screen. As a result, a common question floating around the Passions chatroom is what is the name of the singer and the title of the song Miguel and Charity danced to at the garage. Could either of you shed some light on this for your most dedicated fans? Thanks from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Jesse: It's written by Jane French and John Henry, but they don't sing the song. It's called "Cross My Heart," but we don't know who the singer is.


LMsDreamer: Jesse, this week on Passions, you risked your life for love. Do you think you would do that in real life?

Jesse: Definitely! There's no doubt about it.


miguelandcharity: Molly and Jesse, how did you do those fire scenes with all of the falling debris?

Molly: Stunt doubles did all the really grueling stuff. Whenever anything would put us in any danger, it was done with our stunt doubles.
Jesse: We were really near the fire though, and I was covered in debris at one point.


miguels chik: Hi Jesse. Do u think Miguel will always stay with Charity on the show, or could he get with Kay or Jessica?

Jesse: Definitely not Jessica, because she's a little too young for Miguel. But Kay is a possibility.
Molly: I hope not!
Jesse: You never know.
Molly: I would be jealous!


miguel is sexy: When will Charity and Miguel kiss?

Jesse: We already have in a fantasy, but I'm not sure when we're going to kiss in reality.


miguels chik: Hi Jesse. You are sooooo cute, do you like working with all those girls?

Jesse: Yeah!
Molly: He can't get enough of them.


EZGuest84934137: I am your biggest fan. Do either of you two feel uncomfortable doing those love scenes?

Jesse: We haven't had any major love scenes, but the ones we have done I haven't really felt uncomfortable about.
Molly: I agree with Jesse, and he's really easy to work with.


keeley: Jesse, what's your favorite color?

Jesse: I think my favorite color is brown. I love to wear brown.


SoYoung: Hey ! =) I love Passions, and I love ya'll's characters on the show!! I know you guys can't give any info but...will Faith and Grace ever meet?! 'Cause they get sooo close all the time but they never do...and how long do you think Passions will be on????

Jesse: Forever!
Molly: Forever, we hope!


keeley: Jesse, what's your fave food, music, and fave movie star?

Jesse: My favorite food is sushi. My favorite music is classic rock. And my favorite movie star is Johnny Depp.


slick_gal: Jesse, what advice do you give to those who want to be successful in their lives?

Jesse: Work hard in school. Spread yourself around, take part in a lot of different activities.


LMsDreamer: Jesse and Molly, have you gotten a lot of fan mail? If so, have you answered any, and has any one fan touched or intrigued you more than others?

Jesse: Yes. I've gotten a lot. I haven't answered it yet, but to everyone who's written, I'm going to answer it soon. I've gotten a lot of really sweet nice letters, and I really appreciate it.
Molly: Yeah, I've gotten a lot of mail. And it's so sweet and touching I can't even believe it. I've tried to answer as much of it as I have time to. So, give me time.


Twiggy34: Do you have any animals? If so, what are they?

Jesse: I don't have any pets here in LA, but in Connecticut where I grew up I have two black pugs named Winny and Hootch.
Molly: I used to have Labradors, but I don't have any pets now, sadly.


SilverLilac13: Hi there Molly and Jesse! If you could both describe yourselves in two words, what would they be?

Jesse: I would have to say creative and sensitive.
Molly: I would say a dreamer, and a friend.


JesseMetcaIfeFan: First I want to say that I drove 15 miles with a hurricane watch, cause my power went out...just to talk to you guys cause I love you Jesse! I wanted to know how long does it take to tape 1 show and do you ever wish you had more time to yourself? :) Keep up the good work!

Jesse: It takes a full day to tape a show, usually from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sometimes I wish I had more time to myself, but I'm really happy with what I'm doing. Thanks for driving in the hurricane to chat with us!


Cassy8: Jesse, how has your life changed since you have joined the set of "Passions," and how did you get involved in acting?

Jesse: I got involved with acting in college when I took a few acting classes. Now my life has changed completely! I went from living on one coast to the other, and now I'm in the real world working. It's definitely changed for the better.


gummi bearz: Have you ever done a chat like this before?

Jesse: Yeah, I have.
Molly: I have never done anything like this before.


Nevus6666: I really want to be an actress, but I live in a small town in Canada. Do you have any advice for me on how I could get started? How did the two of you get started?

Molly: I just used to do acting in high school. Getting this job was a twist of fate. My advice is just keep doing it if you love it. Practice makes perfect.
Jesse: I would just say that if you want to be an actress, you have to act. You should get out there and try out for plays and just do it.


Met1: How do the two of you feel about the concept 'Love of at first sight?' Do you think it exists in real life or just on soaps?

Jesse: I can believe it exists, but, realistically, I don't think it does. You can only be attracted to somebody.
Molly: I KNOW it exists in real life because it happened with the boyfriend that I have now. I knew when I first saw him, that he was my first true love.
Jesse: I just think love and time spent together go together; they go hand in hand.


curious1: I saw on the NBC site that both of you are musically inclined, do you have any plans in the future to pursue a musical career?

Jesse: I'm open to anything, you know, anything's possible, but right now I'm very focused on acting. If I was to focus on anything else, it would be something to do with filmmaking.
Molly: I was taking drum lessons and piano lessons, but right now because I'm working such long hours I haven't had time. Once you start playing music though, you never really stop.


LMsDreamer: Jesse and Molly, if you didn't have a successful acting career, what kind of career do you think you would be in instead? And, who has been the most supportive of you as you pursued acting?

Molly: While I was at Berkeley, what I was hoping to be able to do once I graduated was to work in the movie soundtrack business. I love music, and I love movies. I thought that was a nice combination of the two. The most supportive person in my life, throughout anything that I aspired to do or be, would be my mom.
Jesse: I would be finishing up my education at New York University with a degree in film, and I probably would have gotten a graduate degree in film, and then I'd be a director. My mom has been there for me since day one, supporting me in whatever I wanted to do. Thanks Mom!


Cylithera: Ms. Stanton, who is your most favorite person to work with? Mr. Metcalfe, who is your most favorite person to work with? =)

Molly: Well, Jesse is definitely my favorite person to work with, because he makes everything so fun.
Jesse: Well, after thinking about this question...I would say that Molly is by FAR my most favorite person to work with.


krissy201: Hi Jesse. Latinos are rarely seen on soaps. How do you feel to be taking such a role?

Jesse: Although I'm not Latin, I do feel honored to represent the Latin community.


SilverLilac1: Hi there Molly and Jesse! Which actor or actress would you like to work with in the future?

Jesse: I'd like to work with Al Pacino.
Molly: I would like to work with Drew Barrymore.


Cylithera: How much time do you both work on things concerning Passions, either memorizing lines, acting, and the such? What do you do in your spare time? If you have any that is .

Molly: Well, because we basically do an episode a day, I don't really spend more time than the night before working on each script. In my spare time, when I do have some, which is kind of rare, I like to hang out near the beach.
Jesse: I definitely spend a lot of time away from the show, working on things related to the show. During my spare time, I usually just like to relax, catch up on my sleep and go to the gym.


bebechic: Molly, I love the clothes you wear on the show! Who provides them?

Molly: They're from all different stores. The wardrobe department shops for me, and I don't know exactly where they go.


pjones: Hi Jesse and Molly! Jesse, How long has it been since you've been back to Waterford? I grew up there, down near the shore, near Seaside.

Jesse: I haven't been back for four months, but I'd like to say "Big Ups to Waterford!"


nina106: If you won an Emmy who would be the first person you would thank?

Jesse: Madre.
Molly: My mom.
